The Complete Works of Robin Elise Weiss

I taught myself HTML because I could not sleep. Once I knew how to build a page, I had to figure out what to put on it, and the only thing I knew well enough to write about was pregnancy. So that is what I wrote about. It turned out to be one of the first three pregnancy websites on the internet. The web was brand new, I was a childbirth educator and doula, and the three of us running those early sites knew each other and traded notes. Newsweek covered mine, and that is what led me to start Childbirth.org in 1996. About.com named me their Guide of the Year in 1999.

Everything here grew from a stretch of insomnia and the one subject I could not stop thinking about. This is the whole of it, thirty years of writing gathered in one place so it does not disappear when a platform does. Every entry links to the original and to an archived copy.
